Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 22, 2026Last Updated: May 22, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Sher LLC, doing business as Saveit (“Saveit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Saveit mobile application, the Saveit website at joinsaveit.com, the Saveit browser extension, and related services (together, the “Services”).
Saveit is a private shopping wishlist tool. You can save items from any online store, track their prices, and receive alerts when a price drops. Saveit has no social feed, no public profiles, and no following or sharing between users. The items you save are private to your account.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Privacy at a Glance
This summary is provided for convenience. It does not replace the full policy below.
- We collect the items you save, your activity in the app, and basic account and device information.
- We use this information to operate the Services, track prices, send alerts, and improve the product.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party ads, and we do not share your personal information for advertising.
- We may create and share information that does not identify you, such as aggregated insights about shopping trends. This is described in Section 5.
- You can access, correct, or delete your information, and you can control whether your activity is used for our aggregated insights program.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information.
Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. If you choose to provide a name or display name, we collect that as well.
- Third-party sign-in. If you register or log in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider, which generally includes your name and email address, or a relay email address if you use Apple’s private email relay. We do not receive the password for that account.
- Support communications. If you contact us for help or send feedback, we collect the information you include, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Information we collect when you use the Services
- Saved items. When you save a product, we collect the product link and the product information associated with it, such as the item name, brand, image, description, price, and availability. We collect this whether you save through the app, the website, the iOS share sheet, or the browser extension.
- Activity information. We collect information about how you use the Services, such as items saved, items viewed, price-drop alerts opened, purchase actions, redirects to retailers, and purchases completed where that information is available to us.
- Device and technical information. We automatically collect technical information about the device and software you use, including IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language setting, and similar identifiers.
- Notifications. If you allow push notifications, we use your device’s notification token to deliver price-drop alerts and other messages. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
Information from third parties
- Affiliate partners. When you visit a retailer through a Saveit link and make a purchase, our affiliate partner may report limited transaction information to us, such as that a purchase occurred and its value. We use this to confirm commissions and measure performance.
2. The Saveit Browser Extension
The Saveit browser extension lets you save a product from a retailer’s website with one click.
When you click the Saveit icon on a product page, the extension reads the content of that page to identify the product and collect its details, such as the product name, brand, image, price, and description. The extension sends this information to Saveit so the item can be added to your account.
The extension collects product information only from the page where you choose to save an item. It does not collect your general browsing history, and it does not track the pages you visit when you are not saving an item.
We use the product information collected through the extension only to provide the Services to you, in the same way as items saved through the app or website.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create and manage your account and verify your identity when you sign in;
- provide the core Services, including saving items, tracking prices, and sending price-drop and availability alerts;
- send service messages, such as a welcome message, account notices, and reminders about items in your list;
- respond to your support requests and feedback;
- operate, secure, test, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
- measure performance, including affiliate redirects and purchases, and calculate commissions;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
- create aggregated and de-identified information as described in Section 5; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising. We share information only as described below.
Service providers
We use third-party companies to operate the Services. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes we direct. These providers include:
- Google Cloud Platform, for hosting, databases, and file storage;
- Google Workspace, for transactional email delivery;
- Firecrawl, for retrieving product information from retailer pages for price tracking;
- Skimlinks, for affiliate link handling, redirection, and commission tracking; and
- Google Analytics, for usage analytics.
Aggregated and de-identified information
We may share aggregated and de-identified information as described in Section 5. This information does not identify you.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a government request, or that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Saveit, our users, or others, or to detect or prevent fraud or security issues.
Business transfers
If Saveit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or control of your personal information.
With your direction
We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise direct us to.
5. Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We create aggregated and de-identified information from activity across the Services. Aggregated information describes groups of users and does not identify any individual. De-identified information has had identifying details removed so that it cannot reasonably be linked to a specific person or device.
We may use and share this aggregated and de-identified information for any purpose, including commercial purposes. For example, we may provide brands, retailers, and research partners with insights about shopping interest and demand, such as which categories or types of products are saved most often, or the general price ranges that shoppers track. This information does not identify you.
When we share de-identified information, we maintain it in de-identified form, we do not attempt to re-identify it, and we contractually require recipients not to attempt to re-identify it.
Because aggregated and de-identified information does not identify you, applicable privacy laws generally do not treat it as personal information, and our commitment not to sell personal information does not restrict our use of it.
6. Affiliate Links and Disclosure
Saveit participates in affiliate programs. When you tap to visit a retailer from a saved item and then make a purchase, Saveit may earn a commission from that retailer. This does not change the price you pay. Affiliate commissions are part of how Saveit is funded. The use of affiliate links does not affect which items you can save or the prices we track and display.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Saveit website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the website is used. Analytics providers, such as Google Analytics, may set their own cookies or identifiers to measure usage.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off some cookies may affect how the website works. The Saveit mobile app does not use browser cookies, but it uses similar technologies and identifiers to keep you signed in and to measure usage.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Your account information
You can review and update your account information by signing in to the Services.
Aggregated insights program
When you create an account, we ask whether you consent to your activity being used to build the aggregated and de-identified insights described in Section 5. You can change this choice at any time in your account settings.
Notifications
You can turn push notifications on or off in your device settings. Some service messages, such as account and security notices, cannot be turned off while you have an account.
Marketing emails
If we send marketing or other non-essential emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Messages required to operate the Services will still be sent.
Access, correction, and deletion
You can request a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us at privacy@joinsaveit.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some information may be retained as described in Section 9.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@joinsaveit.com. When you delete your account, we handle your information as described in Section 9.
9. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except for information we are required or permitted to keep by law, such as records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Backup copies may persist for a limited additional period before they are overwritten.
Aggregated and de-identified information, which does not identify you, may be retained and used after your account is deleted.
10. Data Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, session expiration after a period of inactivity, single-use password reset links, and limits on the save function to prevent abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Help protect your account by using a strong password and keeping it confidential.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for users 18 years of age or older. The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@joinsaveit.com and we will delete it.
12. International Users
Saveit is based in the United States, and the Services are operated from and intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
13. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the CCPA), gives you certain rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 1 and include identifiers (such as email address and IP address), internet and device activity information, and commercial information (such as items saved and purchase activity). The sources, business purposes, and categories of recipients are described in Sections 1, 3, and 4.
Your rights include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information, the right to request correction, the right to request deletion, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@joinsaveit.com. We will verify your request before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
14. Other US State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other US states may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal information. To make a request, contact us at privacy@joinsaveit.com.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by email before the changes take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top shows when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
